Circle Senior Living Sandown is within the secure Estate, which has 24-hour security, CCTV monitoring perimeter fencing, secure access controls and guard patrols within the estate.

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ELECTRICITY, WATER AND PROPERTY RATE PAYMENTS WITHIN THE RESIDENTIAL COMPONENT?

As the Life Right owner, you are free of this responsibility. This falls to the freehold owner – Circle Senior Living, who is responsible for all the bills and maintenance of the property, including property rate payments, insurance, upkeep, security, electricity and water bills.

AS AN OWNER, WILL I HAVE ACCESS TO ALL THE FACILITIES?

Yes, you will have full access to all the Circle Senior Living facilities, and they are all-inclusive.

WHERE CAN MY GUESTS PARK WITHIN THE CIRCLE SENIOR LIVING ESTATE?

Parking provisions for guests will be outside your unit.

HOW MANY PARKING BAYS DO I GET AND CAN I PURCHASE ADDITIONAL BAYS?

Each unit has respective parking and garages allocated to their units, these also vary for each unit type and location. Please refer to the SDP in the sales pack with your sales agent.

WHO TAKES CARE OF THE MAINTENANCE OF THE RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS?

Maintenance to the outside of the residential buildings will be carried out through the approved processes of the body corporate.

WHERE CAN I HANG MY WASHING?

Provision for hanging washing will be within the design of the semi-detached units. Those within apartments can make use of a dedicated washing line area.

WILL FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS NEED TO BE IN PLACE?

Yes, all homes will need to be fully compliant with the local fire safety requirements. All SANS fire requirements will need to be in place, including hose reels, hydrant points, ventilation, and fire doors.

ARE THE BATHROOMS WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?

Yes, all bathrooms at Circle Senior Living are fully wheelchair accessible. The showers are designed as wet rooms, ensuring the floor remains safe even when wet. The non-slip flooring and absence of loose bathmats make navigation easier and safer.

WHY DO THE BATHROOM FLOORS REMAIN WET AFTER A SHOWER?

The bathrooms are designed as wet rooms to enhance safety. After usage, the water will naturally flow back into the shower area within approximately 5 minutes. This feature prevents the bathroom from overflowing in case a tap or bath is accidentally left running.

IS CIRCLE SENIOR LIVING A CASHLESS FACILITY?

Yes, Circle Senior Living is a cashless facility. We encourage residents to use card payments whenever possible to minimize the amount of cash on-site. If you need assistance with managing cashless transactions, please contact the concierge.

CAN I USE THE CINEMA ROOM FOR PRIVATE EVENTS?

Absolutely! The Cinema Room at Circle Senior Living is designed for both group activities and private events. If there’s something specific you’d like to watch or host, please contact the concierge to book the venue.

WHAT SERVICES DOES THE CONCIERGE PROVIDE?

The concierge is your first point of contact for any queries or assistance. They are available from 8 am to 7 pm daily and can help with everything from booking services and arranging events to answering questions about the facility.

HOW CAN I ARRANGE DELIVERIES?

The concierge desk can receive parcels and deliveries on your behalf. Just inform them when you’re expecting a delivery, and they’ll ensure it’s taken care of.

IS THERE A DOCTOR AVAILABLE ON-SITE?

Yes, Circle Senior Living has a visiting doctor available for any medical issues. To make an appointment, please contact the Wellness Centre or inquire through the concierge. This service is exclusively for residents.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE A MEDICAL EMERGENCY?

Every apartment is equipped with an emergency button that alerts the on-site nurses immediately. They will respond to any emergencies at any time of day or night. For non-emergencies, please contact the Wellness Centre or concierge.

CAN I HOST EVENTS OR FUNCTIONS AT CIRCLE SENIOR LIVING?

Yes, Circle Senior Living offers several venues for hosting events, such as the rooftop, private dining room, or other spaces. You can book these venues through the concierge at no additional cost. Catering options are available, or you’re welcome to bring your own food and beverages.

ARE THERE GROUP ACTIVITIES AVAILABLE?

Circle offers a variety of group activities to help residents stay active and engaged. A weekly schedule will be provided to your apartment, and updates will be posted on display boards and shared via the resident WhatsApp group.

WHEN IS THE GYM AVAILABLE?

The Circle Gym is open 24/7 for residents. You can join group classes or use the equipment at your convenience. Please take care when using the facilities, as it is at your own risk.

WHAT HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES ARE PROVIDED?

Circle Senior Living offers daily housekeeping services, including making beds, washing dishes, and cleaning bathrooms. A deeper spring cleaning is provided annually. The staff will work with you to find a cleaning time that fits your schedule.

HOW DOES THE LAUNDRY SERVICE WORK?

Residents can either do their own laundry using in-apartment washer/dryer units or have it done by Circle staff. Laundry left outside your door will be collected, washed, and returned for a fee of R22.50/kg. Laundry submitted before 12 pm will be returned the next day.

WHAT AMENITIES ARE AVAILABLE IN THE LIBRARY?

The Circle Library operates on a trust basis, allowing residents to borrow and return books freely. There are also board games available in the lounge and rooftop areas for residents and their guests to enjoy.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I GET STUCK IN THE LIFT?

If you get stuck in the lift, remain calm and press the yellow alarm bell. Assistance will arrive shortly. Follow the instructions given by the responding team.

HOW DOES CIRCLE SENIOR LIVING HANDLE LOAD-SHEDDING?

The facility is equipped with solar capabilities and a backup generator to provide power during load-shedding. Residents are encouraged to be mindful of their energy use during these times.

IS THE FACILITY PET-FRIENDLY?

Yes, Circle Senior Living is a pet-friendly environment. We ask that you keep your pets on leashes in common areas and pick up after them. You can also book your pet for a walk through the concierge.

HOW CAN I STAY INFORMED ABOUT ACTIVITIES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS?

Important information is displayed on electronic screens near the lifts and communicated through the resident WhatsApp group. Weekly activity schedules are also delivered to your apartment.

CAN THE CONCIERGE ASSIST WITH SHOPPING?

Yes, the concierge can help with any shopping needs you may have. Just let them know what you require, and they will arrange it for you.

IS SMOKING ALLOWED ON THE PREMISES?

Smoking is allowed in the designated smoking area located in the garden on the -1 floor. Smoking inside apartments or within the building is prohibited for safety reasons.

HOW DO I MAKE INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CALLS FROM MY APARTMENT?

Each apartment is equipped with a telephone for internal calls only. You’ll find a list of important extensions next to the phone. For external calls, please use your personal mobile device. If you need help with the extensions, contact the concierge.

CAN I TIP THE STAFF OR GIVE GIFTS?

While we appreciate your gratitude, we kindly ask that residents refrain from giving tips or gratuities to the staff. Instead, there will be an annual festive season collection where you can contribute to show your appreciation. If you wish to donate furniture or items, please coordinate with the concierge.

IS TRANSPORT PROVIDED FOR RESIDENTS?

Yes, Circle offers a chauffeur service for your transport needs. You can be driven in your own vehicle (with insurance approval for the additional driver) or in a Circle vehicle. Please book this service in advance through the concierge to ensure availability.

WHAT TV SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE IN MY APARTMENT?

Your apartment includes a select bouquet of DSTV channels. All TVs are also set up for online streaming services like Netflix, Disney Plus, Amazon Prime, and DSTV Stream. If you need help configuring these services, please contact the concierge.

HOW DO I OPERATE THE WASHING MACHINE AND DRYER IN MY APARTMENT?

The washer/dryer in your apartment is a Bosch Series 4 model. If you need assistance with operating it, the concierge is available to help. Alternatively, you can use the Circle laundry service for your laundry needs.

HOW IS WATER MANAGED AT CIRCLE SENIOR LIVING?

Circle has an on-site borehole to supplement the municipal water supply, managed at the discretion of facility management. Residents are encouraged to use water responsibly. Additionally, two complimentary bottles of water (one still and one sparkling) are delivered to your apartment daily, with empty bottles replaced free of charge.

WHAT SERVICES DOES THE WELLNESS CLINIC OFFER?

The Circle Wellness Clinic, located on the -1 floor, is fully equipped to handle any medical issues. The clinic provides 24-hour nurse coverage and access to allied health professionals such as physiotherapists, biokineticists, and occupational therapists. You are also welcome to bring your own medical professionals into the space.

WHAT ARE WELLNESS ASSESSMENTS, AND HOW DO THEY WORK?

Circle Senior Living encourages residents to take a monthly wellness assessment at the Wellness Clinic. These assessments help tailor the care you receive and ensure your well-being is protected. Contact the Wellness Centre or concierge for more details.

HOW DO I CONNECT TO THE WI-FI, AND CAN GUESTS USE IT?

Residents receive a permanent Wi-Fi password for their devices, which provides connectivity across the facility. Guests can obtain a dedicated Wi-Fi password from the concierge desk, which expires daily. Guests will need to log in with a new password each day they visit.
